“Good Bad Ugly” has a spectacular first weekend:
Jayanth Kumar and Trisha Krishnan’s latest film “Good Bad Ugly” has achieved a stupendous success at the box office. The film earned Rs 150 crore in its first weekend of release and became the biggest Tamil film of 2025. The film is set to break the record of Ajith’s debut film “Vidaamuyarchi” (which earned Rs 135.65 crore) and may now break the record of “Dragon” (Rs 152 crore) as well.
On the first day of release, the film earned 51 crore, which was the biggest opening day of Ajith’s career. The film maintained its momentum in success by:
Earning ₹27.50 crore on its second day.
Earning ₹36.50 crore on its third day.
Earning ₹37 crore on its fourth day.

The film performed well in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala, where it got 76.79% occupancy in the evening shows and 73.46% occupancy in the night shows. Chennai and Coimbatore had a 95% occupancy rate.
The overseas collections are also big: GCC: ₹4.15 crore (Ajith’s biggest opening), UK: six-digit opening, USA: $2 million (approx. ₹16.5 crore), and total overseas collection: ₹47.20 crore.
Thus, the film crossed the ₹150 crore mark globally and became one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of 2025.

The film is now set to surpass the lifetime collections of “Dragon” (₹152 crore). “Good Bad Ugly” could cross the ₹200 crore mark by the end of this week if the trend continues.

The movie stars Arjun Das in a dual role (Jamie and Johnny) as the villain, which has also been praised by critics.
