Sunny Sanskari Box Office Collection Day 4: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari entered its first weekend at the box office with mixed results. Sunny Sanskari was released during the Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti holidays, but still did not manage to maintain the strong pace needed to compete with Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1, which continues to dominate theatres nationwide.
As per trade reports, the Sunny Sanskari box office collection on day 4 stands at ₹7.75 crore (early estimates), which takes the total India net to around ₹30 crore. The film opened decently on Day 1 with ₹9.25 crore, but collections dropped sharply on Friday to ₹5.5 crore. Saturday saw a slight recovery with ₹7.5 crore, followed by steady growth on Sunday.

Within four days, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has made ₹42 crores, which includes ₹6 crores from international markets. This brings the total gross advertisement collection in India to ₹36 crores. On Sunday, the overall Hindi occupancy was recorded to be about 29% in India cinema halls.
The audiences were appreciative of the light-hearted tone as well as the chemistry shared between the stars Varun and Janhvi; however, in the same weekend, it was evident that the film was facing competition from Kantara Chapter 1.
Kantara Chapter 1 was the film that reached ₹300 crores in the same weekend. The weekday performance of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is what will decide the future and the net collections of the film. If the audience holds the film in praise, it will likely help with the collections and even better the second time.
